Spectrum is an official student organization at Mississippi State University that strives to bring MSU's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and straight allies together. The organization has gone through many changes since its inception in the 80's, such as a name change from G.L.B.F. (Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Friends) to its current, more representative, name. As the 2009-2010 school year begins, Spectrum will again undergo restructuring to better serve and promote the interests of MSU's LGBT community.
During the spring and fall semesters, Spectrum meets weekly. Meeting times and locations can be found on the calendar page. The organization does not meet regularly during the summer semesters, but there are still plenty of ways to get involved!
